Football action resumes in North Coast region
TEN matches are on the cards as Football Kenya Federation (FKF) North Coast region resume action after last weekend’s suspension of matches due to the recent clashes at Tana Delta area. The branch lifted the suspension of matches after confirmation from Tana Delta sub-branch chairman Said Ilu that the region was back at peace following the heavy presence of security personnel on the ground.
FKF North Coast branch Secretary Raphael Mwalungo said the assurance from Ilu necessitate the move to lift the suspension. He said this weekend’s fixtures will be packed after the suspension of six matches last week. “Both the matches we had suspended last week and this weekend’s matches will go on and this makes our schedule very tight,” said Mwalungo.
Tomorrow, Mission Boys host Laza Shooting in Hola, Anidan face Deep Sea at Lamu Sports ground, Dasac and Magarini play at Malindi’s Alaskan ground, Crossroads face Kikulacho at Vipingo and Mnarani take on Brighter Stars at Mnarani Primary. Sunday fixtures will see Deep Sea play Kashmir in Lamu, Magarini take on Brighten Stars (Alaskan) while Kilifi Prisons face Kilifi Gold.
