The Member, who crossed over from ODM to UDF, seemed to have a burning issue he wanted to discuss with the PM. And when the PM failed to notice him, he was rescued by an ODM cabinet minister who interceded for his one minute of fame. However, the PM spared little little time for him.

A former cricket national team player laughed off Thursday's claim by assistant minister Kabando wa Kabando that the government has invested heavily in the development of the sport. The player, who once served as the team captain, was infuriated by the minister's claim that the Gymkhana Ground is the symbol of the government's commitment to the promotion and development of the sport that has however plummeted in recent days. Terming the ground as private, the man said one community controls the game because they have the passion and have invested in the sport and challenged the minister to ensure that a public facility for the sport is put up as soon as possible.
