Fundraiser held for copter crash officers
Top security commanders in the country yesterday held a Harambee in Nairobi to raise funds for the four police officers who were killed in last Sunday's copter crash. Among the fatalities were Internal Security minister George Saitoti and his deputy Orwa Ojodeh.
The fundraiser held at KICC was attended by all PPOs and PCs and top officers at the Office of the President. A senior officer told the Star that the fundraiser was aimed at raising money that will help educate the children of the late Police superintendents Nancy Gituanja, co-pilot Luke Oyugi and bodyguards Inspector Joshua Tongei and Sergent Thomas Murimi.
