The new modern Taveta Market and Bus park worth Sh320 million funded by the government will soon be operational.
The regional market is expected to boost revenue collection for the county.
The border market is expected to improve regional integration between Kenya and Tanzania.
Former Taveta town clerk Mohammed Rashid yesterday said the complete market will soon be opened.
"There will be a wholesale and retail market section complete with stalls for traders who would not wish to sell their goods in bulk,” he said.
Rashid expressed optimism that the town councils revenue will get a major boost.
