TPF contestant finally makes it in Coke competition


Juliet Karanja a former Tusker Project Fame contestant is among the lucky two finalists to feature on the Coca-Cola Kenya Olympic Anthem . The aspiring musician was chosen by the public through a voting process that ended last Friday on NTV’s “The Beat” alongside Collins Okoth from Kisumu.
“I think Kenya has made a good choice with Juliet and Collins,” said Madtraxx who is producing the track. “I look forward to the magic we will be able to produce in studio in the coming weeks. It’s my hope the fans will continue to give us their input on Facebook and Twitter so that we can collectively make a real Kenyan Olympic anthem,” he added.
Collins, who is a rap artist and Juliet, who is a singer will start recording with the producer and musician this week after which they will shoot the music video the following week. “I would like to thank Coca-Cola for giving me the opportunity to be involved in the search for new talent. It is not over though, as we are really looking forward to the recording of the song”, said Dj Pinye.
The competition which started with auditions on June 2, 2012 came to a close on June 15, 2012 with over 300 participants from Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu taking part. Twelve finalists were then picked by the judges, and fans countrywide voted for the final two. The Coca-Cola Kenya Olympic Anthem is set to be released in early July.
