Celebrities to headline cerebral palsy walk

Local celebrities will lead a charity walk next weekend in support of victims with cerebral palsy. The stars who include comedian Fred Omondi, gospel musician Mbuvi and  Dj Pinye, will endorse the event and walk with the children. The event which  will take place on Saturday, June 30, at Nyayo stadium is an initiative of Cerebral Palsy Society of Kenya in partnership with The Insurance Regulatory Authority .

The theme is “Partnering to Create a Stigma Free Environment.” The walk which takes off at 8 am is aimed at creating awareness, fighting stigma and raising funds for cerebral palsy and the required occupational therapy. The funds raised will also help alleviate the challenges of CP cases and their families.
