Former Energy Assistant Minister Charles Keter has scoffed at reports of his imminent reappointment by ODM. The Belgut MP said it was laughable for such reports to be circulated yet “he had been sacked unceremoniously.” Keter said: “I still stand for the rights of my people and will not be bought by anybody".

He took issue with Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo over what he termed “unnecessary abuses targeted at William Ruto”. Keter claimed that Jirongo joined the URP with the hope that Ruto who is it’s presidential contender would be jailed at the Hague and he will get a chance to take his place.’ Keter told off Jirongo adding, “we are telling him to go away from URP."
