Two imprisoned for defiling minors
A Kitale court has sentenced a man in his 30s to life imprisonment and another 20 year jail term for defiling minors at different places in Trans Nzoia County. Kitale Resident magistrate Jacinta Owiti sentenced James Murunga, 30, to life in prison for defiling a three year old child at Wamuini village on July 15 last year. The court has also sentenced 20-year old Silas Esinyen to 20 years in prison for defiling a 15 year old class eight pupil at Kwanza friends’ academy in Kambi Nairobi, Kwanza district. Judge Julius Mang’ea ruled that Silas Esinyen be punished for defiling the girl on 16th, February 2011.
