A police officer was yesterday robbed of his uniform by armed gangsters who carjacked a 14-seater matatu plying the Nyahururu-Maralal road. The driver, Peter Kigia, is admitted to the Nyahururu District Hospital after he was hit with a club by the gangsters who also robbed the other passengers of their valuables. The officer, who was travelling in the matatu, was not armed.

The driver said he was robbed off of his mobile phone and Sh7,400,” said the OCPD.
