Buruburu meet State house in girls volleyball final

Former champions Buruburu booked a place in final after beating Soweto 3-0 in the semis of the ongoing Nairobi Secondary Schools Championships at Lenana School. Buruburu will now play State House Girls, who beat Nile Road 3-0 to qualify for their first final in over a decade. With favorites Moi Girls and Pangani having been knocked out in the quarter-finals, Buruburu had little opposition as they beat their opponents 25-16, 25-15, 25-15. State House also had an easy time  over Nile Road, whipping them 25-8, 25-9 and 25-13. In the boys matches also played at the same venue, Hospital Hill crushed Euticas 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25) to make it to their fifth straight final. Hospital will face hosts Lenana, who beat Lang’ata by a similar margin of 25-21, 25-23, 29-27 in a highly explosive match to qualify for their maiden final.
