KPLC says it’s ready for new demand
Kenya Power says it is ready to deal with the increased industrial energy demands. Head of human resource and administration Ben Chumo said that with projects like the Lamu Lappset project, Konza city and many more lined by the government, there will be a huge energy demand. “Projects like Lappset need huge and robust energy supply. We have plans underway to build a 220KV power line to Lamu for the purpose of that project,” he said in Mombasa. He said they are prepared to meet the electricity and the country’s growing industrial power needs for the Vision 2030 projects.
