Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni will today begin his state visit after arriving in the country on Wednesday.

He is expected to hold a meeting at the State House.

He was received by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.

Following his arrival, Museveni stated that he was looking forward to fruitful discussions during his two-day state visit.

"I am delighted to be in Kenya today at the invitation of HE Ruto. This serves as a platform to further strengthen the strong historical ties between Uganda and Kenya," a statement on his X account read.

Health CS Nakhumicha to receive family planning supplies from UNFPA, UK

Health Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha will preside over the handover of family planning commodities to the Ministry of Health by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the UK government. 

The handover will take place at the KEMSA National Supply Chain Centre, Embakasi.

According to a communication by the MoH, doses of DMPA-SC (Subcutaneous Depot Medroxyprogesterone Acetate) procured by UNFPA with funding from the UK government will be received for onward distribution to health facilities across the country.

Nairobi residents demonstrations

Nairobi residents will hold a peaceful march against unplanned developments, construction cartels and forceful evictions at 9 am from Jevanjee Gardens March to City Hall.
