The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (Kemsa) has announced the relocation of its headquarters from the Industrial Area.

The headquarters which was based along Commercial Street will now be based at the authority's National Supply Chain Centre in Embakasi.

The relocation is effective May 1, according to a notice seen by the Star.

The changes, Kemsa said, will centralise its operations for improved service delivery to Kenyans.

"KEMSA wishes to inform the general public and all stakeholders that our headquarters will be relocating from Commercial Street, Industrial Area to The National Supply Chain Centre in Embakasi off Airport North Road, with effect from May 1, 2024.

"The move will centralize our operations and inject efficiency for improved service delivery," the Authority said.

Kemsa however, noted that their contact details remain the same even as they move.

The authority reiterated its commitment to provide reliable, affordable and quality Health Products and Technologies and supply chain solutions that save and transform lives.

"Our phone numbers and email addresses remain unchanged and customers can continue to access all services at the new office location uninterrupted."

This comes barely a year after the new board of directors officially assumed office.

The board chaired by Irungu Nyakera was sworn in at the Kemsa Embakasi Depot by Health CS Susan Wafula in May 2023.

The new members inaugurated include Hezborn Oyieko Omollo, Bernard Kipkirui, Jane Masiga and Jane Mbatia.
