KPLC lists areas to experience power interruption Tuesday

Areas in Nairobi, Kiambu, Makueni, Busia, Kisii, Homa Bay, Nyeri and Laikipia will be affected.

Kenya Power has planned scheduled power interruption on Tuesday in select areas across eight counties.

A public notice dispatched MOnday evening said the interruptions will be effected for eight hours between 9am and 5pm.

Counties to be affected by the power interruption include Nairobi, Kiambu, Makueni, Busia, Kisii, Homa Bay, Nyeri and Laikipia.

Nairobi

Areas to be affected in Nairobi include part of Zimmerman East, Wankan, Kwa Masai, Zebra House, Family Access, St. Anthony School and adjacent customers.

At the same time, Mathare 3 and 4, KSMS, De La Rue Complex, GSU, NYS Engineering, ABSA Bank Ruaraka and adjacent customers will also have the interruption in Nairobi.

Other parts of Nairobi to have power interruption are Gusii Ave, Siaya Road, Siaya Close, Gatundu Road, Tinderet Avenue, Gichugu Road, Mandera Road, Gem Lane, Kenya High School, Kileleshwa Police Station, Dik-Dik Gardens, Olekejuado Road, Kandara Road, Mandera Lane, National Housing Cooperation, Moon Valley Apartments, Gatundu Close and adjacent customers.

At the same time Old Donholm, New Donholm, Donholm Total Petrol Stn, Donholm Equity Bank, Donholm Coop Bank, Sunrise East, Greenfield East, Savannah East and adjacent customers will have power interruption in Nairobi.

Kiambu

Areas to be affected in Kiambu include parts of Limuru Town, Githongoti, Kwambira Equity, Manguo, Ngarariga, Rufus, Ngarariga Girls, Murengeti, Nyambare, Farmers Choice Factory, Uplands Police Station, Githironi, Nyamweru, Murengeti, Mutosi, Kinyogori, Rukuma, Kimeende, Magina, Soko Mjinga, Kamae, Gitithia and adjacent customers.

Makueni

Areas to be affected in Makueni include Watuka, Wote CBD, KPLC Offices, Mwaani, Makueni Referral Hospital, Ngooni S/Markets, Shimo, Kelvian Hotel, Kasarani and adjacent customers.

Busia 

In Busia, areas including Malaba Town, Railways, KRA, OSBP Cereal, Amagoro, KPLC Offices, Shell, Kakapel, Awatta, Kamuriai, Angurai, Kolanya, Kaeset, Kajei, Akudiet, Malaba Stadium, Milimani, Ikapolok, Jairo’s, Osere City, Kekalet, Akichelesit and adjacent customers will be affected.

Kisii

Embonga Hotel, Kisii East Garage, CITAM Church, Senti, Botori SDA, Marshpark Hotel, Bosongo Hospital, Le-Premier Hotel, Kisii Junction Hotel and adjacent customers will be affected by power interruption.

Homa Bay 

Parts of Homa Bay to experience power interruption include Sikri Market, Mikai Market, Ober High School, Otel High School, Omiro Market, Kakelo Mixed Secondary School, Ringa Market and High School, Kadongo Market, Denis Obara Secondary  School, Orera Primary School, Ramula Market and  Ramula Sub-County Hospital will have power interruption.

At the same time Ramula Sub-County Offices, Ramba Market, KANU Market, Mawego Complex, Lida Market, Ongilo Primary School, Odino Dispensary, Akwara Market, Bware Secondary School, Wangapala Safaricom Booster, Kolweny Kingsway, Misambi Market, Oriang Polytechnic, Oriang Secondary School, Nyapalo Market, Othoro Market, Kodada Market and Hospital, Pala C/Fact and adjacent customers will also be affected.

Nyeri 

Areas to be affected include Muirungi Secondary School, Gathera Village, Kiangombe TBC, Ngaru, Magomano TBC, Ciagumba TBC, Rwamai TBC, Mitiriongo TBC, Kianduma TBC, Kiandogoro TBC, Mucharage, Kariko, Kiamutundu TBC, Kiambaa TBC, Kiinu and adjacent customers.

Laikipia 

Parts of Laikipia to be affected include the whole of Timau Market, Kiambogo Pri, Ngusishi, Siraji, Nelion, Oldonyo, Timaflour Farms, Ethi, Ngarendare and adjacent customers
