Bumula Member of Parliament (MP) Jack Wamboka has moved to counter President William Ruto-led UDA party influence in the region.

In the 2027 General elections, Wamboka called on Bungoma people to reject UDA and vote for those who will fight for their interests.

Wamboka is the only Azimio MP in Bungoma County.

He claims his competitors have ganged up to fight him revealing that he has been receiving threats from the government to shut up.

“Those that I ran against in 2022 have regrouped to deal with me because they are in government,” he said.

Wamboka who is eyeing for the top county’s seat in future affirms that he will keep on criticizing the government to deliver on their mandate.

Speaking at a women empowerment function in his Constituency on Sunday, the first-term MP noted that he has united all Azimio Members of the County Assembly to counter UDA’s influence in the region.

The Azimio lawmaker maintains that he will continue putting the government in check.

“We cannot keep on singing ‘Tuko Serikali’ song when our people are suffering. Our people in government should become serious and fight for our interests,” he added.

Present were 16 Azimio Members of the County Assembly led by Minority leader Antony Lusenaka.
