Authorities in the US have announced a $28,000 (Sh3,936,800) reward for information that may lead to the identification and capture of two suspects linked to Sunday's fatal shooting in Baltimore.

The shooting at a Brooklyn Homes area of the city left two people dead and 28 others injured, including 15 minors.

Police said the victims were mostly teenagers aged from 13 to 19. The others were aged between 20 and 32.

One of the deceased victims, 18, died at the scene while the second fatality, 20, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The BBC said seven victims were still hospitalised as of Monday evening, including four who are in critical condition.

Police are yet to name a suspect but surveillance footage circulated on social media appeared to show a young man pulling a weapon from his backpack.

"Anyone who had a weapon at the scene will be one of our suspects until we eliminate that they are not," the BBC quoted Baltimore Police Department acting commissioner Richard Worley.

Police recovered multiple weapons and bullet casings at the scene of the crime in a courtyard between a pair of houses.
