Covid positivity rate at 0.6%, 18 recoveries recorded

No patient has succumbed to the disease, cumulative fatalities remain 5,649.

The Ministry of Health on Sunday stated that 13 more people tested positive for Coronavirus from a sample size of 2,254 tested in the last 24 hours.

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said in a statement that the country’s positivity rate is now at 0.6 per cent.

The CS said that from the cases, 9 are Kenyans while 4 are foreigners. 8 males while 5 are females.

The youngest is a 5- year-old child while the oldest is 87 years old.

Total confirmed positive cases are now 323,786 and cumulative tests so far conducted are 3,601,063.

In terms of County distribution; Nairobi 12 and Kiambu 1.

Kagwe said 18 patients have recovered from the disease, and all of them are from the Home Based and Isolation Care.

This pushes the total recoveries to 317,978 of whom 264,950 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 53,028 are from various health facilities countrywide.

No patient has succumbed to the disease therefore the cumulative fatalities remain 5,649.

Two patients are currently admitted in various health facilities countrywide, while 146 are under the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.

No patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 1 patient is on supplemental oxygen and is in the general ward. No patient is in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
