Nairobi woman representative Esther Passaris has said Governor Mike Sonko is overwhelmed and needs assistance to deliver his manifesto.
She said the governor has never approached her office to discuss how they can work together for the benefit of Nairobians.
Passaris told the Star on Saturday that residents of Nairobi are looking up to county leaders to deliver the pledges they made during the campaign period.
“We do not need
sideshows. Residents of Nairobi want clean streets and roads free of garbage and clean water,” Passaris said,
She said if the county government rolls out programmes for the
youth, cases of crime and unemployment will reduce.
Passaris urged Sonko to seek wisdom in his leadership.
She told the governor to
build more rehabilitation centres and hospitals.
Passaris also told Sonko to clear all pending bills.
She said the county government should work closely with the national government,
“As Nairobi leaders, we need to work together. Nairobi is the capital city and let's
forget the past and focus on what we can deliver now,” Passaris said.
