Police in Bomet are looking for a man captured in a video torturing a child in a house at Kapkesiego.

The clip that has

gone viral on social media since Sunday evening shows a man beating up a boy whose hands and legs are tied up.

Police boss Samson Rukunga asked the public to volunteer information.

He told the Star Directorate of Criminal Investigations officers are tracing social media users who posted the video so that they can track down the suspect.

In the video, the boy is heard crying for help and asking the man not to kill him.

"Daddy...forgive me, I will not repeat the mistake," the boy is heard pleading.

The one minute clip has attracted mixed reactions. Social media users are demanding the man's arrest.
