Detectives from the Transnational Crime Squad on Thursday night raided two popular strip clubs in Westlands, Nairobi.

During the operation, they rescued 21 Nepalese girls who were working there illegally.

The raids were conducted at midnight at the two joints which are located at on Chiromo lane.

Police sources said the girls are being held at a victim rescue centre ran by the Transnational Crime Squad as investigations continue.

"If it is proved they are in the country legally, they will be released. But if not, then the agency will decide on whether to take them back to Nepal," the source said.
