“The only way to create massive employment and grow wealth is by industrialization,” said Mutua.

He was speaking after consultations with Party officials in Nairobi.

“We can not depend on foreigners or investor to create jobs. As governments we have to be proactive and think out of the box," said Mutua.

He said a factory or industrial park will create direct and indirect jobs for the many jobless youths.

Mutua said a new manufacturing industry if created in just half the 1250 wards, each creating 500 direct jobs and 5,000 indirect jobs, the country will have created over 3 million jobs, especially for the youth.

“We are tired of seeing our young people losing hope thus this program will create many jobs and change lives. This is the kind of development politics needed in Kenya,”Mutua

"This proposal is in line with Uhuru Kenyatta’s manufacturing pillar and if approved will see unemployment rolled back significantly in Kenya," said Mutua.

“Maendeleo Chap Chap is about changing lives and not playing with the minds of jobless youth through empty rhetorics. The time for real political change is now,"he said.
