Nine people have died and 20 others injured in a road accident near Emali
along the Mombasa - Nairobi highway.
The 3 am
accident occurred after the bus
collided with a lorry at
Civicon area before bursting into flames.
The injured have been rushed to Kilome and Sharom
hospitals in Emali while the deceased have been taken to Makindu sub-county hospital mortuary.
Makueni county
commissioner Mohamed Maalim said the Buscar company bus was travelling from Nairobi while the lorry was coming from Mombasa.
