The Wajir West constituent said he is optimistic that his application will be approved.

Wajir West is represented by

MP

Ahmed Kolosh (ODM).

"I believe I have all what it takes to clinch the seat since ODM and its leader Raila Odinga has a strong political backing from my constituency," Salah said.

He said that his candidature has received support from almost all elected lawmakers from Mandera, Garissa and Wajir counties.

The candidate said NASA failed to nominate a person from the region and expressed optimism that he will be considered for the EALA post.

"I have utmost faith that both

Jubilee and NASA

MPs will

approve my candidature

as the sole candidate from the region," he said.

Most of the big guns who lost in the August 8 polls have angled themselves for the nine slots available for Kenya at the regional Parliament amid intense lobbying.
