Property of unknown value gutted in Meru town fire

Property of an unknown value was razed at Kaaga village in Meru town on Saturday morning.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established but residents blamed it on an electrical fault.

Kanana Joseph, a shop owner, said they were unable to salvage any property and asked the county government for assistance.

Residents had a hard time putting out the fire but managed to keep adjacent homes from burning.
