DP William Ruto has told off IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati asking him to "stop lecturing" them ahead of the October 26th vote.

Chebukati on Wednesday said

he could not guarantee that next week's presidential election will be credible.

He cited interference from politicians and threats of violence against his colleagues.

"Ironically, the very people, political leaders, who are supposed to build the nation have become the greatest threat to the peace and stability of the nation," Chebukati told journalists.

More on this:

In a quick rejoinder via Twitter, Ruto said: "Chebukati should stop lecturing us and oversee the elections. He is not doing us and we need no favours. Btw we won on 8/8 fair and square."

But Ruto's tweet was not taken lightly with Kenyans on Social media criticising him.

"Jubilee think they can lie n talk there way out of everything as gunia carriers dance around n take oath of governor. Kenyans are MAD! Sana,"

Another user supported Ruto's sentiments saying they legally won and President Uhuru will be sworn-in.

"Well put my DP. Kenyans must reject democracy saboteurs & Wakora system operatives in IEBC/Judiciary. Swear in Uhuru pap after Oct 26th poll,"
