Unilever targeting youth, women for development

Consumer goods maker Unilever will work with Kenyan youth, women and children in a bid to reach 6.7 million Kenyans by the end of the year through sensitization on healthcare, social responsibility and better living standards.
"We look at undoing the gap that exists between communities and their access to better healthcare systems,and I believe through this voluntary system we hope to better lives," Unilever Heroes for change programme,Unilever CEO, Paul Polman said
Unilever has partnered with Amref Health Africa, Safaricom, Sight savers and United Nations to start the project that will create jobs for youth in Kenya

and give proper access to maternal health care to women.

They will create awareness on Trachoma disease affecting young children. So far, 12 million Kenyans have benefitted from this program.
