Narok Governor Samuel Tunai (pictured) is on a collision course with his Bomet counterpart Isaac Rutto.
Tunai said Rutto is wrong to agree with NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga on not selling land to outsiders.
Speaking in Ngareta on Saturday, the Bomet governor said Raila is right and that further, the Kipsigis community living in Narok should be evicted.
Tunai said Rutto is an irresponsible leader and his claims in Ngareta, Narok,

were uncalled for.
Tunai said the statement was inciteful and likely to cause animosity among the Maasais and other communities living in the region.
He said it is sad that as peace efforts continue in the region, Rutto is sowing discord among the warring Maasai and Kipsigis communities who have for a long time battled over land.
“I want to ask the governor to come clear on the matter and tell us if what he wants is to see our people fighting again,” Tunai said.
He added, “It is us as the leadership from this region who have strived to preach peace who understand better the meaning of such irresponsible statements.”
The Bomet governor could not be reached for comment.
Tunai went on, “I wonder if Rutto has a place in Chepalungu to settle all those people he is asking to be evicted in Narok … let him get back to his senses and rethink the response.”
He warned opposition leaders that visiting the county and meddling with the unity of the communities living in the region should stop. Tunai said all leaders on the campaign trail should seek votes peacefully without inciting the residents.
The Narok governor urged the National Cohesion and Integration Commission to look into the matter and take action against the leaders responsible.
Tunai said no one will be evicted from their land.
He added that he will continue safeguarding the interests of all residents in Narok county, regardless of their community.
“All the people here have title deeds and no one will be evicted as long as I am still the governor of this county. Those leaders who want you out do not mean you well.”
