A four-month-old baby was burnt to death after houses were destroyed by fire in Kabati estate, Naivasha. Many people were left homeless.

Witness Samuel Mwangi said the fire started from one of the houses and spread quickly to the others. He said the baby had been left by her mother in the house, when the fire broke out. Rescue efforts failed.

Mwangi said by the time firefighters from the county government arrived, the fire had burnt the houses. Resident Peter Kamau said he lost all his belongings.
