DP William Ruto and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen have accused Raila Odinga of spreading propaganda about KDF.

Raila has claimed that

Jubilee are dragging KDF into politics by deploying more than 100 officers to Kakamega.

The NASA presidential candidate claimed on Tuesday that the soldiers were selected to rig the August 8 general election.

Raila noted Kenya needs good leadership and peace considering the violence that took place after the disputed 2007 election.

But the Deputy President said the Opposition was clutching on anything to muddy the elections with the hope of negotiating a coalition government.

“The Opposition should sell their agenda to Kenyans to woo their support and leave the military out of the August general election,” Ruto added.

Murkomen said via Twitter, "Tinga is rewriting 2007 script and doing everything to explain his impending defeat."

The Senator said no amount of propaganda will take Kenya to war again.

"The only way NASA can be in government is through nusu mkate.

How? Discredit IEBC, bungle the elections and cause chaos. We will not allow," he said.

'Petty politics'

But Murkomen's comments were not taken lightly by social media users who took him to task over 'stolen NYS money'.

In an affidavit filed, former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru dragged Murkomen into the scandal, claiming that he threatened her against pursuing investigations.

"RAO busted you when you stole our NYS money. You steal money meant for the poor,"

@Omwandho said.

George Dindi said, "We don't need even a slice ... but demand for free, fair, credible, transparent, verifiable

election

and genuine results."

"Murkomen I knew you before you stole from the nys ... u were nothing by then,"Joe Mwendwa‏ tweeted.

‏ @ronoarnold71 said. "Brilliant lawyer wish you could learn from your fellow senator @KithureKindiki ever sober politician. your politics is too petty, backwardness."

Samuel Bwire said, "Truly power does corrupt ... and one would forgive you for assuming that all power rests with Jubilee ... we will vote with our hearts and mind."

But others supported his sentiments saying the opposition was lying.

"You are right senator. His campaign of lies can't stand the test of time or ballot. And with lies one only sinks deeper,"

@BnNganga said.

@mp_philo said "Even that NUSU MKATE Will only be realised in their dreams.

Elections will be there and NASA will confirm their retirement.

Jubilee 5Tena."

Raila who is also the Nasa presidential candidate claimed that the KDF soldiers were selected to rig the August 8 general election.

He noted they are not driving a wedge into their relationship with the military but appealing to them to honour their code and be neutral.

"KDF soldiers are being trained for recruitment as polling and presiding officers to help rig the election," he told a press conference in Nairobi.

"Several officers are being hosted in Kakamega at the former provincial HQ. They are being prepared to become ROs."

In January, Raila

claimed the NIS was interfering with voter registration by listing people in Uganda and Ethiopia. The IEBC and the Interior ministry dismissed the assertions as "malicious and intended to undermine the voter registration process".
