NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga on Thursday exuded the confidence that he will beat hands down in the August 8 general election.

He said the opposition will win the contest adding that the onus is now on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to conduct transparent polls.

Raila, when he led NASA campaigns at Iloodokilani, Kajiado West constituency, said Jubilee is only dead-scared that NASA has gained ground in all the 47 counties.

"They (Jubilee Party) are scared of the National Super Alliance's popularity."

He spoke amid heated exchanges over the electoral agency's award of the ballot printing paper to a Dubai-based firm.

The NASA team argues that the tender row will puncture the electoral agency's credibility further asking the polls body to cancel the tender and invite fresh bids.

And in his campaigns, the opposition chief asked the Maasais to vote out the current administration citing the latter's failure to deal with unresolved historical injustices meted on Kenyans.

"This government and the previous ones have never taken seriously what the Maasai people have undergone," he said.

"Our people in Maasai land have continued to suffer historical land injustices even after the country attained independence more that 50 years ago," Raila said.

"Ours is the leading coalition that will deliver Kenyans from the current tough times."

He spoke after receiving Tarayia ole Kores who recently defected to ODM from Jubilee after losing governor nominations to Joseph Ole Lenku.

Raila said Kores had been frustrated by Jubilee despite campaigning for TNA in 2013 and securing four MP and 23 MCA seats for the party.

"This is our big fish we have netted today from Jubilee. This is also clear indication that the Maasai have full trust in NASA."

The ODM leader was accompanied by his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka as well as NASA co-principals Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.

He said Kenyans generally are tired of the Uhuru's administration and want change.

"Change is knocking, and NASA is here to bring that change. This is a failed government which cannot be trusted with plans for the citizen's prosperity," he said.

"Kenyans are starving because of poor planning. Giving this government another chance to lead this country will be a historical mistake that will linger in our minds for many years to come."

Mudavadi praised Kores for the move saying he worked closely with him while he served as Olkejuado county council chairman and found him to be an honest leader.

Kores said he decided to quit Jubilee because Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery and Deputy President William Ruto "kicked him out of the party."

"They had settled on their pet project (Lenku) and therefore did not want me. I supported this party for the last several years, and this is what I got."

"They said I am not worth a leader and I am telling them they will regret what they did to me," Kores said.
