National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale on Sunday hit out at the International Criminal Court (ICC) Senior Trial Lawyer Anton Steynberg over claims that the court plans to revive Kenyan cases that collapsed.

Speaking at Jubilee rally at Posta grounds in Bungoma County Duale said the statements by Steynberg shows that ICC is no longer about justice but hidden agenda.

“It is unbelievable that the court is waiting for a particular government to take over so that it revives cases which collapsed. This is no longer

about justice but witch-hunt, and revenge, “ Duale said.

He said the court’s Prosecutor was in 2009 allowed to investigate the cases through all the processes up to the trial level when they were finally thrown out due to lack of evidence.

“But for the court to say it is longing for a future Kenyan regime that will fully cooperate with it to revive the cases is utter nonsense. We want to tell them that we knew from the word go what the court was after but should know that Jubilee will win the next election by a landslide,”

he said.

Meanwhile leaders from Western Kenya allied to the Jubilee Party have said their decision to support the Government was for the benefit of the people unlike their counterparts embracing the National Super Alliance (Nasa) who are pursuing their elfish interests.

Lead by Water CS Eugene Wamalwa, Governor Ken Lusaka (Bungoma), MPs Dan Wanyama (Webuye East), JohnWaluke (Sirisia), Ababu Namwamba (Budalangi) and Reginalda Wanyonyi (Women Rep, Bungoma).

Waluke said their colleagues from the region who were supporting the Opposition were doing so for their personal gains.

“Nasa plans to create new positions which are not even in the Constitution for our brothers from Western. This means there is no room for the outfit to address challenges facing us,” Waluke said.

He said even Wetangula had decided to contest for the Bungoma senatorial seat because he knows Nasa is not going anywhere.

The leaders said the Jubilee Administration in just four years has revived the Mumias Sugar Factory and the Webuye Pan Paper Mills as well as improvement of roads in the region and yet those in Opposition who had the capacity to help the region when they served in previous governments failed to initiate projects that ‘we can be proud of’.

Wamalwa said

Nasa failed to solve peoples problems when they were in positions like Prime Minister, Vice President, deputy Prime Minister and Ministers and thus they cannot even remember to deliver on the promises they are making if the win the election.

Wamalwa maintained it was now clear that Jubilee would win by a large margin come the August General Election.

“In 2013, President Kenyatta and his team won the last election in 25 Counties but now that more counties including Kwale, Tana River, Bungoma and West Pokot among other areas which were in Opposition then have embraced the Jubilee Party, the party will win by a large margin compared to the last General Election," he said.

Defiant Ababau Namwamba said

Western region has greatly benefited from the Jubilee Administration compared to the previous regimes that those in Opposition were part of.

“They say numbers don’t lie and you have seen the reality of issues as we head to the August polls. Jubilee will win by a landslide and you should not be left behind,” Ababu said.

Governor Lusaka on his side said the future of the people of Western was better off in Jubilee than in the Opposition and urged voters in the region to turn in large numbers to support the Government.

“I want to ask my sisters and brothers in Western Kenya to turn out in large numbers and support Jubilee because our future here is secured and not in the Opposition,” he said.
