An Umoinner Sacco matatu was burned down after it hit and injured a pedestrian on Jogoo Road, Nairobi on Wednesday.

The driver of the matatu, who police say was overlapping, escaped from the angry mob baying his blood.

The angry youths torched the vehicle after other passengers had disembarked after the accident.

Police said they are investigating the incident.

In February, another matatu plying the Rongai route was burned down after hitting and killing a child.

The matatu was being driven on a wrong lane on Lang'ata Road.
