Twitter was alight with reactions after former judiciary registrar Gladys Shollei walked out of a TV interview aired on Thursday night.

NTV's Jane Ngoiri tweeted that Shollei walked out of an interview she was giving when questioned on integrity.

"Watch #TheBossExit at 9pm," Ngoiri tweeted.

Shollei's actions drew strong responses from Kenyans on social media.

Eng Davide Murimi tweeted: "Gladys Boss Shollei is a coward if she cannot defend herself."

"I was a big fan of Gladys Boss Shollei but when she refused to answer integrity questions she raised a red flag," The Gunner remarked.

Some, however, saw this as a noble and even brave decision.

"I think she has over the past over-explained herself on this issue to the same media house. Plus there are still cases in court," Raphael Maina tweeted.

Kipkoech Kipkoech noted, "#TheBossExit It was very appropriate for Gladys Boss Shollei to leave the interview. You don't discuss or debate issues before a court."

Shollei and seven others are facing charges of abuse of office in connection with more than Sh150 million allegedly for the construction of the prefabricated court buildings in Tawa, Mavoko and Garsen without approval of the tender committee.

She will be vying for the Uasin Gishu woman rep seat after securing a Jubilee ticket in the April primaries.
