The MCAs said they were asked to recount their last meeting

at the assembly with Minito before he was hijacked by unknown people.

"At first we tensed and were afraid of the detectives. But after they introduced themselves, we relaxed,"

Kiplimo said.

He said the officers wanted to know whether Minito had mentioned to anybody that his life was in danger.

"They are not incriminating anybody. They are still conducting their investigations to apprehended the killers," he said.

"Nobody knows who killed Minito so they are in a quest to unravel a mystery" he added.

On

Wednesday last week,

the assembly members led by Speaker William Kamket stormed Kabarnet police station demanding speedy probe into the matter.

Minito was last seen at Kabarnet town taking lunch in the company of a woman.

This was before three men dressed in civilian picked him up saying he was under arrest.

"They ordered him to accompany them to the police station to record statement," the woman said after reporting the incident at Kabarnet police station.
