Senior police officers will meet in Nairobi on Wednesday

to discuss security during this electioneering period.

The city's top officers and more than

220 regional and county commanders will attend.

The meeting will be chaired by Inspector General Joseph

Boinnet.

Early in May,

Boinnet

doubled the number of police officers

who will man the August polls to 180,000, from 95,000 in 2013.

The security chiefs held their last such meeting in December.
