The three murdered children of an Eldoret MCA aspirant will be buried next week to enable homicide experts conduct postmortems.

Clifford (seven), Dan (five) and Glen (three) were reported missing on May 13. Their bodies were found in River Nzoia about a week later.

Kasoya MCA aspirant James Ratemo's

family wanted to bury them on Friday.

But family lawyer

Charles Nyamweya said they were yet to get clearance from the Uasin Gishu government for burials at their home in Eldoret town.

The home is located within Kapsoya estate so NEMA will have to approve the burials.

"Public health experts have already surveyed the home," the lawyer said, but added they will have to wait until next week.

The motive for the killings has not been determined but police are looking into

politics, a family feud and a land dispute.

Ratemo is vying on a Kanu ticket.

Enock Onzanse, the children's uncle, was arrested as the prime suspect as he was the one last seen with them in Eldoret town.

He appeared before Eldoret chief magistrate Charles Obulutsa on Tuesday and will face murder charges.

State counsel Joseph Omwenga applied for him to be remanded for 10 days, granting police more time for the probe.
