The National Museums of Kenya has rolled out a campaign to preach peace in Malindi constituency in the runup to the General Election.

An association of women from Mt Kenya in Kilifi county will hold their exhibition on June 2 and 3.

Mary Njeri, who has lived in Malindi for more than 30 years, said they came together to showcase their culture to enhance cohesion.

She said they will display traditional food and regalia, and Kikuyu local brew muratina, among others.

Ceaser Bita, a curator at the museum, said six more cultural expos will be held before August 8.

In October last year, the Luhya community held their exhibition in Malindi, home to Kenya’s 43 tribes.
