Kayole Starlets set to unveil a new sponsor
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) women’s Premier League Zone ‘A’ side Kayole Starlets are set to unveil a new sponsorship deal with a sports agency Justbemaster at their training base at Calvary grounds Thursday.
Starlet will be the first team to benefit from the sports agency that is under the stewardship of Denmark-based handball player Brian Mathews.
The sports agency, which was launched in December, recently held a successful Western Province Justbemaster open handball tournament that saw Kenya Handball Federation national league men’s champions Ulinzi bag the trophy. Ulinzi overwhelmed Technical University of Kenya 30-24 at the Nyayo Stadium last weekend.
This is major boost for coach Joshua Sakwa side after making a debut in the top tier this season having emerged top in Zone ‘A’ in FKF Division one last year. Most women’s teams in the ongoing league are currently facing financial constraints. The new comers are placed fourth on the standing with three points from three matches.
kayole made their debut with 1-0 win against regulars Soccer Queens, before they played to a 2-2 draw against Soccer Sisters. They then lost 0-3 to the reigning champions Thika Queens.
