Kabras RFC have appointed Charles Cadovillis as their new head coach on a two-year deal.
Cadovillis’ immediate target will be to reclaim the Kenya Cup title which they lost to KCB recently. He is also expected to set up structures and training plans as well as building a world class playing unit which could be a dominant force in Kenyan rugby in the years to come.
Cadovillis was the former director of rugby at Quins and whoh he played for during his heydays alongside Nondies.
He has also coached the Kenya Sevens as Mitch Ocholla’s deputy during the 2011-2012 campaign.
Kabras chairman Ray Olendo said they settled on Cadovillis instead

of going for a foreign coach. “Foreign coaches take a while to settle into their new role but for

Cadovillis he is tested and approved with a lot of experience coaching at elite level and we know he will deliver,” said Olendo.
Anthony Ogot, who was the interim coach following the departure of Australian Mike Bishop in December will be Cadovillis’ deputy.
Olendo was optimistic of a strong end to the season after being outplayed by KCB 35-8 in the Kenya Cup final last month.
“We learnt our lessons from that game and we want to make a good run to the Enterprise Cup final,” added Olendo.
Elsewhere, Impala beat Quins 25-15 to romp to the Enterprise Cup semifinals and bag the Ngong road derby bragging. The hosts outscored the visitors by three tries to two. Richard Sidindi, Mohammed Omollo and Joel Omer scored a try each for the Gazelles with David Ahawo scoring a double for Quins.
George Okowa added two conversions and two penalties with Kevin Keegan adding a penalty and conversion for the winners. Impala will now

face Kabras, who thrashed Nondies 50-11 in another quarterfinal.
Holders KCB made light work of Blak Blad, thrashing them 48-6 at the Lions Den in Ruaraka. KCB has a date with Homeboyz, who were awarded a walk-over against Strathmotre Leos. The semifinals are set for this Saturday with the final on June 3 at the RFUEA grounds.
