Saints’ training to benefit Kenyan youths

SportPesa in conjunction with Southampton FC will conduct training for the Kenya Football ‘developmental sides’ at Kenya School of Monetary Studies from April 24 -28. The official opening of the camp will take place on Monday at KSMS from 9.30am.
Southampton football development academy is renowned for having one of the best football academies in the world, having produced world famous football internationals such as Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw, James Ward-Prowse, Wayne Bridge and Calum Chambers.
The players have been drawn from an array of schools and clubs including Kakamega High School, Passenga, Kisumu Day, Laiser Hill, Jamhuri High School, Butere Boys, Isiolo High and Riruta Satellite. Some of the players to feature include Joshua Otieno, Ahmed Musa Omar and Albert Juma Mutsune among others.
Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama, who plies his trade with Tottenham Hotspurs has had a brief spell at Southampton where he thrived before switching to Spurs.
