Bandari’s travails on the road show no sign if ending after they fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Chemelil Sugar in a Sportpesa Premier League match yesterday.
Veteran midfielder Hillary Echesa accounted for the coastal side’s demise with the lone goal of the match to leave Paul Nkata scratching his head and wondering whether his side can really shed their poor away firm.
The win lifted Chemelil to second position on the log with 11 points as Bandari fell to fourth with a point further behind. Tomorrow, Posta Rangers face Kariobangi Sharks looking to keep their unbeaten record intact. Sammy Omollo’s mailmen are one of two teams yet to lose a match—a record that will be out to task by a Sharks side that is brimming with confidence.
Sharks have won two matches in a row since losing their opening three matches of their debut campaign and they will be motivated to keep the feel good factor alive with another good outing against Posta.
Their duel will be followed by the clash pitting hosts Thika United and AFC Leopards after both sides came away from Mombasa with contrasting results. Leopards narrowly edged Muhoroni while Thika were handed a 3-0 walloping by Bandari. Thika will be without forward Joel Tata, who was dismissed in the final stages of their annihilation last Sunday.
