Security personnel keep a tight vigilance around ballot boxes prior to the 2013 general elections.

At least 500 more security officers will be deployed to man polling stations in Bomet county during today’s Jubilee Party primaries, county returning officer Wilson Lang’at has said. He said security has been heightened to avert chaos.

Two police officers will be stationed in each of the 566 centres, Lang’at said yesterday in Bomet Central.
