100 homes flooded in Kisumu as heavy rains pound county

More than 100 homes have been marooned in Kisumu county following heavy rains. County commissioner Maalim Mohammed yesterday said those affected are from Nyando subcounty. He said they have liaised with the county to give the families food, blankets and medicine. Residents in flood-prone areas have been asked to move to higher ground.
