The government will allocate more funds to promote and nurture talents among the youth.

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday said talents, culture and art are priority areas for his administration, saying they are important economic assets that must be promoted.

He said the government has focused on areas that generate income for the youth to reduce unemployment.

Uhuru made the remarks when he hosted the 58th National Drama Festivals State Concert in Kisumu.

He was accompanied by, among others, Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua, Sports CS Hassan Wario and Education CS Fred Matiang’i, Education PS Belio Kipsang and Governor Jack Ranguma.
