Nairobi resident Adede is crowned Sh1m Lotto winner

63-year-old records management officer Shadrack Adede is Kenya’s latest millionaire after bagging Sh 1million prize during Lotto’s second Easter Power-draw.
The feat made Adede Lotto’s 148th millionaire and the ninth Supa-Sunday winner. The Nairobi County resident, who originally hails from Kisumu County, was ecstatic to learn of the life-changing win. Adede said it was not necessarily the win he was aiming for but the passion for the raffle as he regularly places a wager at Lotto. He, however, concedes that in as much as he is elated at the Sh 1 million fortune, his biggest dream lies on raking the Sh100m prize. He added that the windfall has restored his faith on Lotto and will enable him to complete constructing a residential rental building while making a living as a records management officer. Having witnessed several changes in the country, Adede is pleased at how Lotto has been impacting lives of many and how it will now change his. Adede is has been married for over 35 years to his wife Rosemary Odhiambo and the couple have five adult children. Unfortunately, Adede was not able to celebrate the win his wife as she is bed-ridden with a mental ailment and has opted to use part of the fortune to cater for her medical care as well as invest in farming and other opportunities. In the meantime, Adede said he is not taking the win for granted and plans to keep playing LOTTO with the Sh 100 million Jackpot remaining his ultimate goal.
