Kabete MP aspirant Charles Chege was found alive in Narok on Saturday, hours after he had been reported missing and his vehicle found with bullet holes.

Narok North OCPD Philip Kipkirui said residents found the Jubilee Party candidate

near a dam in Narok town.

“We found him stranded and he looked tired. He hardly spoke...he told us that all he remembered was being pulled out of his car,” said one of the residents.

Kipkirui said Chege was taken to

Narok County Referral Hospital.

“After first aid, he started speaking softly. We suspect he was drugged by unknown people before being dumped in Narok,” said the OCPD.

He said

CID detectives were carrying out investigations.

Kipkirui said he had gotten in touch with Chege's family regarding his transfer to Nairobi.

Chege's car was found with two bullet holes

near a dam in Gitaru area.

His supporters, who had been awaiting his campaign launch, held

demonstrations

saying

they wanted an explanation for his disappearance.

Kabete OCPD Joseph Ongaya said they collected two spent cartridges from the place where the

Toyota Prado was found.

He added that two mobile phones which were off were found in the car. They are believed to be Chege's.
