Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau has asked the opposition to avoid theatrics over the IEBC’s preparedness for the election, and let it work.
Speaking to Kigumo residents on Sunday, the MP said NASA has been overly critical of the electoral agency and this could interfere with their energy in ensuring all systems are ready.
“Unnecessary litigation on the IEBC operations reveals NASA political mischief and they should know that IEBC does not vote ... Concentrate your energy on Wanjiku,” Kamau said.
He was reacting to demands by the opposition that the electoral agency clarify its preparedness to oversee the election.
The governor aspirant also said the use of Jubilee Party smart cards during primaries is fair to everyone.
“There are a few people who had not got the cards and that will be changed so that they are not left out of the landmark event,” he said.
“I plead with everyone, voters, aspirants and other politicians to preach peace because that is the only way we will live to enjoy the freedom and good things that our country has for us all.”
