NASA co-principal Raila Odinga has reported that his daughter Rosemary, who has a non-cancerous brain tumor, is doing well.

She has a meningioma, which can cause blindness, problems with movement and other complications as it enlarges and presses into the brain.

Raila also said his daughter, a Kibra MP aspirant, sent Kenyans greetings from South Africa where she is being treated.

"We thank God for her terrific recovery. Thanks to your prayers, Rozzy is well and sends greetings to all," he said via Twitter on Monday.

The Opposition leader left for South Africa on March 10 to visit Rosemary who is his eldest daughter and the most politically active.

He also visited the US and was to return to Kenya today.
