Six people were on Sunday killed after an accident
at Londiani, Nakuru-Kericho highway.
"The accident happened at 3am
after a head-on collision between a
bus and Toyota Wish," Kericho county commissioner
Mukhtar Abdi
told the Star.
The police boss said the
Transmara Coach bus was
headed for Kisumu and the Toyota headed to the opposite direction when the incident happened.
"Five fatalities were in the small car and another in bus," Abdi said noting that the
injured have been taken to the hospital.
He said investigations have been launched.
Accidents have been on the rise since the year begun.
On January 13, two people were killed and five injured after an accident involving two private cars along Lang'ata Road, Nairobi.
Police said the two cars were moving on same direction when the accident happened near Carnivore restaurant.
On January 6,11 people were killed and seven injured in an accident involving a matatu on Katito-Kendu Bay road in Kisumu county.
Nyanza traffic boss Andrew Naibei said the 11 died at the scene of the crash.
