One person was killed and seven injured in a fight between supporters of Ruaraka MP TJ Kajwang and those of Nominated Senator Elizabeth Ongoro in Mathare slums, Nairobi.
Chaos erupted after the MP's supporters stormed a meeting presided over by Ongoro on Wednesday.
Ongoro is vying
on an ODM ticket
for the Ruaraka parliamentary seat which Kajwang is fiercely defending.
The two could not be reached for comment.
The injured person was taken to
Kenyatta National Hospital and the body the facility's mortuary.
